On Sunday morning, November 26, 2023, at 9:00 A.M., H.E. Mr. Kittinitekorsalbandit IM Chhun Lim, President of the Constitutional Council of the Kingdom of Cambodia, went to meet with rowers at the designated gathering area of the pirogue rowers in Khan Chroy Changvar and to make a contribution of 10 million Riels to Kratie’s pirogue committee to support all Kratie’s rower teams who will have to participate in the race during the Water Festival, a traditional Khmer royal ceremony marked by the canoes racing and the convoy of illuminated boats. He was accompanied by leaders and officials of the General Secretariat of the Constitutional Council, leaders and officials of the Phnom Penh Capital Hall and Kratie Provincial Hall, and members of Kratie’s pirogue committee. This year, the Water Festival has its magnificent spectacle; and organized in a situation where the Kingdom of Cambodia has absolute peace under the leadership of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, said H.E. Mr. Kittinitekorsalbandit IM Chhun Lim advising all oarsmen of Kratie province to take good care of their health, to have a healthy lifestyle, and to put effort into bringing victory to the whole of Kratie province, all of which is a contribution to raising the image of Kratie province to greater recognition in this field of boat racing. It should be noted that Kratie province has in total 20 pirogues, including 4 in exceptional size and 16 in international size, and a total of 946 rowers (299 substitutes) who are to compete in this year's Water Festival.
