On Wednesday morning, November 22, 2023, at the conference hall of the office of the Constitutional Council, White Building, Chamcar Mon State Palace, H.E. Mr. Kittinitekorsalbandit IM Chhun Lim, President of the Constitutional Council, heard the representatives of the National Assembly, led by H.E. Mr. ANG Vong Vathana, Chairman of Commission on Legislation and Justice of the National Assembly and head of the delegation, in their clarifications on the Amendment of Article 4 (New), Article 6 New (Two), and Article 29 (New) of the Internal Rules and Regulations of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia after the Constitutional Council received on November 16, 2023, a request of Samdech Moha Rotsapheathikathipadei KHUON Sudary, President of the National Assembly, aiming to control the constitutionality of the Amendment to the aforementioned Internal Rules and Regulations. The invitation of the relevant stakeholders to provide clarifications is provided for by Article 21 of the Law on the Organization and Functioning of the Constitutional Council, stipulating that in case of necessity, the Constitutional Council has the right to request clarifications or documents from the institutions concerned.
